墨西哥好去處－Vamos a Chiapas (I)

Chiapas is located at south of Mexico and has many tourists attracted for the famous sceneries like Palenque, Canyon, Waterfall.

Chiapas州位於墨西哥的南部,吸引了不少遊客到訪Palenque，峽谷，瀑布等著名的風景。


Lets go to see the beautiful great canyon and  Sima de los Cotorros.
It can be a whole day trip with the start at climbing up and through the waterfall (Be careful, its an all-wet activities and get prepared)

讓我們一起去看看美麗的峽谷和Sima de los Cotorros。
一日遊首先從攀爬和穿越整個瀑布開始（小心準備好會全身濕透！）

Then you will be able to walk and cool yourself up in the river inside the canyon.

After that, take a snack to prepare for a climb at the cliff of  Sima de los Cotorros!
(It  is 160 meters across and a stomach-lurching 140 meters straight down. At the bottom is a small forest, a naturally protected summer nesting area for the sinkhole’s namesake residents: thousands of cotorras, or green parrots.
They enter and leave the sinkhole in an awesome cacophonous hurricane, flying in broad wheeling spirals and squawking incessantly.)

At night, this is time for an easy walk in the central area to appreciate the performance in park and enjoy coffee.  Dont forget that Chiapas is famous for its coffee!

In this part, we will go to see the Monarch butterflies reserves.

這一部分，我們會去看帝王蝶的保護區。

Every year, they come from United States and Canada for the winter, i.e. cross over 4500km.

每年，他們都從美國和加拿大飛來過冬（即是飛了4500km）。

The month to do observation start from January until March, and it is the season for mating in March.  After May, the new generation of butterflies will fly back to Canada to breed.  

從一月開始直到3月，是觀賞牠們的季節，交配季節在三月。 5月後，新一代的蝴蝶就飛回加拿大繁殖。

1/ In Michoacán, El Rosario, Sierra Chincua are most popular and can be reached from Angangueo.

在米卻肯州，El Rosario，Sierra Chincua 是最受歡迎，也可以從Angangueo到達。

2/ Free Guides for the observation will be accompanying you to enter the reserve and explain to you some information about the monarch butterflies(but only in spanish).  Some routes can do by horse riding, but ask clearly for the price include the guide or not.

免費的導遊將與你同走到觀蝶的地方並向你解釋一些資料（但只有西班牙語）。有些路線可以騎馬，但先問清楚價格是否包括帶馬的導遊。

3/ From Mexico DF to Angangueo, it already takes 4 hours. ( transit through Zitacuaro).  It surely is a rush to go by day trip and must check the transport schedule.

For people grown up in Hong Kong, chances to see whales and butterflies are really precious and exciting.
That is why I am so excited in late January to early March when these two wildlife experiences can be carried out.
對長於香港的朋友，看到鯨魚和蝴蝶的機會是很珍貴和令人興奮的。
在一月下旬至3月初，就是進行這兩種觀賞體驗的合適時間；我當然特別高興。

Whale watching Location -
Most popular ones are Los Cabos (La Paz, San Jose or San Lucas), Jalisco where the gray whales swam from Alaska to this gulf area for warmer water and climate.   They will also breed the baby whales in the Laguna San Ignacio, Puerto Lopez Mateos and Laguna Ojo de Liebre.  (where opportunities to closely touch the babies are much higher).

Practical Info 實用資料 － 

1/ Los Cabos is the most expensive area in Mexico due to the ease to reach from North America.  To save $, there are buses to go to San Lucas from the main avenue while taxi is super expensive.

由於北美大多有直機到達，Los Cabos是墨西哥最貴消費的地區。坐的士真的超貴，可選坐在大路上行走的巴士到碼頭。

2/ The whale watching tours are offered by many companies and choose the ones that suit your expectation.  e.g. sailing boat is mainly for the slow cruise along the bay while the smaller boat can provide you with closer distance with the whales as well as tracing them quickly. 提供觀鯨團的公司多不勝數，最好按期望選擇；如大帆船主要能慢慢給你看海灣的風境，而小快艇就勝在能快速追蹤鯨魚和近距離接觸

3/ check your hotel if they get promotional coupons for any tours or restaurants, and search up the tourist information office booth in San Lucas.  They can be up to 30% - 40% discount!問問酒店有沒有任何團或餐廳的打折印花，又或到 San Lucas的旅遊中心攤位看看，這可省回三、四成的費用。
